Flexographic label printing

Flexography is the most efficient technique for large runs. It prints on reel-fed paper and film at high speed and integrates the finishes — varnishes, laminates, die-cutting and rewinding — in a single pass, so the label comes off the end of the line ready to apply, with no intermediate steps to add cost and lead time.

When volume rules, this technology offers the best cost per label without giving up quality. It is the usual choice for food, beverages, household products and industrial goods, where hundreds of thousands of units are printed with even colour and a resistance ready for automatic packing.

Modern flexography has taken a notable leap: high-resolution digital plates, low-impact inks and efficient drying systems bring its quality close to offset on many jobs. At BIOLID we integrate it with the other techniques so that each reference is made where it performs best, combining the efficiency of flexo with the flexibility of digital when there are many versions.

If your product moves on volume and you need a reliable supply at a tight cost, flexography is your technique. We define substrate, inks and in-line finishes with you so every order arrives on time and consistent.

  • Highly efficient on large volumes: the lowest cost per label on long runs.
  • In-line finishing (varnish, laminate, die-cut, rewind) in a single pass.
  • Prints on reel-fed paper and film, ready for automatic application.
  • Even, repeatable colour on very long runs.
  • High-resolution digital plates for fine detail.
  • Low-impact inks (water-based / UV-LED) depending on the project.

Food and beverage

Long runs with consistent colour and substrates resistant to moisture and cold, ready for automatic filling.

Household and chemical

Labels on film resistant to rubbing and product contact, in high volumes.

Industrial and logistics

Reels prepared for automatic applicators, with finishes that withstand transport and warehousing.

In-line finishing

Varnish, laminate, custom die-cutting and rewinding integrated in the same machine: fewer steps, shorter lead times.

Briefing and volume

We confirm run length, substrate (paper or film), application conditions and finishes to optimise the cost per label.

Plates and prepress

We prepare high-resolution digital plates and adjust colour and die to your container.

Reel printing

We print at high speed with in-line finishing, controlling colour and register throughout the run.

Rewinding and delivery

We supply reels with the direction and diameter your applicator needs, with traceability and deadlines met.

Reel-fed paper and film (PP, PE, PET) for in-line finishing, with adhesives selected according to the pack and the application temperature. We have recyclable and FSC® substrates and low-impact inks for the projects that call for them.
Which volumes is flexography right for?

It is the most efficient option for large runs, where it gives the lowest cost per label with finishing integrated in line.

Which substrates does it print on?

On reel-fed paper and film (polypropylene, polyethylene, polyester), choosing the adhesive according to the pack and the conditions of use.

Does the quality reach offset level?

Modern flexography, with high-resolution digital plates, comes very close to offset on a large share of jobs. For very specific premium finishes we look at combining techniques.

Does it include finishes such as varnish or lamination?

Yes, one of its great strengths is integrating varnish, lamination, die-cutting and rewinding in the same pass, cutting lead time and cost.

Can it be delivered ready for an automatic applicator?

Yes. We supply reels with the unwind direction and the diameter your automatic labelling equipment requires.

Are there sustainable options in flexography?

Yes: recyclable and FSC®-certified substrates and low-impact inks (water-based or UV-LED) depending on the project.
